Rust Dyed Shibori Textiles.

Join the New Zealand born Artist in creating a rust dyed textile using Japanese Shibori folding and tying techniques.

Materials needed: Old really rusted objects with no sharp edges 1 bottle White vinegar Plastic clear tub with lid Water Strong string and/or rubber bands Scissors Sunlight 100% natural plant or animal fiber fabric eg: cotton, linen, silk. (Wool can be used but takes longer. Fabric needs to be a light color preferably white or off-white for best results. You can use clothing items also or scarves etc.
