EXHIBIT YOUR ART
Gallery Hours: The Beaufort Arts Council gallery is open Tuesday-Friday from 10AM-4PM, and Saturday by appointment. The gallery is closed for major holidays.
General Exhibition Policy All 2D and 3D media is eligible. No video entries will be accepted. All work must be original. Artwork must be appropriate for viewers of all ages. All work must be received ready for installation with proper hanging devices and instructions where necessary. 2D artwork cannot be displayed with gallery clips or saw-tooth hangers. Beaufort Arts Council will not be responsible for any damage to unframed or otherwise unstable works. All work must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibit. Work must be dropped off and picked up on the designated dates. The Arts Council has no space for storage of artwork. The Arts Council reserves the right of final review and selection of exhibited works.
Artwork Size Limitations 2D work maximum size up to 48” wide and 36” high including the frame.
Overall footprint of 3D work should be 12" x 12” or less with a weight limit 20 lbs. A limited number of pedestals are available.
Media Requirements for Submission through Call for Entry File format: JPEG or JPG only File size: under 5 MB
Promotion BAC distributes postcards to several visitor and community sites for each exhibit. A limited number of additional postcards are provided to exhibiting artists to send out to their own mailing lists. Press releases for the exhibit are sent to local and regional media and announcements are posted to relevant online calendars, websites, social media, etc. The Arts Council hosts a reception, which is open to the public and includes light food and beverages.
Sales Work may be for sale or listed as not for sale (NFS); however, NO work may be listed as Price on Request (POR). Beaufort Arts Council will connect artists and interested buyers, however in absence of artist, staff will accept payments (made payable to BAC).
Liability & Agreement Beaufort Arts Council reserves the right to reject from exhibition works due to content or inability to properly install the work. By submitting work for entry, the artist agrees to allow representations of work to be shown and reproduced for publicity purposes. Although every care will be taken by Beaufort Arts Council, liability cannot be assumed for loss or damage of submitted works. It is suggested that artists wishing protection insure their works independently.
Delivery/Shipping Shipping and/or transportation for delivery or pick up of the work is the responsibility of the artist. The Arts Council does not provide funding for shipping costs.
